FAST-rising Irvine footballer Erin Cuthbert will be competing in the greatest show on turf.
The Chelsea Ladies ace was today named in the Scotland squad for next month's forthcoming Women's World Cup in France.
The talented player reacted with great delight to the news on Twitter.
She said: "If your dreams don’t scare you then they aren’t big enough... The biggest honour to be selected to represent Scotland at the @FIFAWWC this summer."
The 20-year-old left Glasgow City to join Chelsea in 2016.
In November 2017, she made her UEFA Women's Champions League debut for the Blues in a 1–0 win over FC Rosengård in February 2018, she scored her first hat-trick for the club in a 10–0 victory against London Bees in the fourth round of the FA Women's Cup.
Cuthbert was nominated for the PFA Women's Players' Player of the Year award in the 2018–19 season
During that season, she scored in Champions League ties with Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon.
