UPBEAT Irvine Meadow boss Brian McGinty admitted constructive criticism had helped his team bounce back from defeat to rack up a win.
They defeated Kirkintilloch Rob Roy 1-0 away after a 3-1 home loss against Kilbirnie Ladeside."
McGinty said: "Rob Roy are fighting for their lives but it wasn't an easy game.
It was important to bounce back as we didn't play well last week."
Added the manager: "I said to Ben Carson and Colin Spence I hoped to get more out of them at half-time and they combined for the goal, which was a superb strike.
"Hopefully the win will give us a confidence boost.
"We look forward to the home game against Cumnock on Saturday and we must aim to pick up the three points.
"I want to make Meadow Park difficult for teams to come as it was last season."
