Stewarton United manager Perry Uppal praised his side’s team effort as they picked up a 2-1 win over New Farm Loch at the weekend .
Goals from Andrew Sibbald and Ryan Corkin gave United the three points in the Ayrshire Amateur Football Association Premier League match.
Speaking to the Times, Uppal said: “To a man every single player was excellent at the weekend.
“They all showed hard work and determination to get the result which we deserved.”
Next up for Stewarton is a tricky cup test against league leaders Cumnock AFC in the Ayrshire Challenge Cup.
Despite the form of the Nock, Uppal says United can still seal their own fate in the Quarter Final clash.
He said:”Cumnock are flying high at this moment in time and have beaten us twice in the league.
“But we are looking forward to the game, it is an excellent opportunity for us to try and progress.
“It is going to be a tough ask, they are a decent team with good players.
“From our point of view , it is a game we certainly can win but it is down to us to cause Cumnock problems, which we hopefully can.”
