Kilwinning Rangers U19’s downed their derby rivals Irvine Meadow with a 2-0 victory at the weekend.
The two sides came face to face again in the West of Scotland YFL, with the Buffs already having beaten Medda earlier in the campaign.
Kilwinning were forced to make an early change when Mikey Moynihan was caught late by a Meadow player and had to be substituted.
His replacement was Lewis McGinn - and the substitute would go on to play a key role in the opener for the away side.
McGinn’s cross from the right was headed in by Lennon Goldthorp to open the scoring in the league match.
Kilwinning then had a chance to double their advantage when Goldthorp was brought down in the box.
Up stepped Kyle Bruce and he made no mistake from the spot to fire the away side two up before the break.
In the second half, the Buffs pushed for a third but were unsuccessful despite hitting the post on several occasions.
Despite that they secured they victory and the bragging rights in the derby.
