Stewarton United boss Perry Uppal applauded his players for picking up a deserved point as they drew 3-3 with Dailly AFC.
United went into the Ayrshire Amateur Football Association Premier League match desperate to avenge their 4-3 loss to Dirrans in their last match.
The hosts were down to nine men and trailing 4-0 at half time of the league match at Stewarton Astro.
In the second half , they managed to score three goals but could not do quite enough to earn a draw.
It looked as if they may be set for anther defeat at the weekend when they found themselves 3-1 down late on against Dailly.
However, they managed to rally late on to score two goals and pick up a point at Riverside Park.
Speaking to the Times, Uppal said: “We have got to be very happy with the point in the context of the game.
“We were 3-1 down going into the last 25 minutes and then we get a point out of it when it looked like we would be losing.
“So, all credit to the players to knuckle down and get the draw.
“I don’t think we snatched a draw, we deserved it at the very minimum and almost got the winner.”
