Dirrans Athletic AFC manager Jason Stewart hailed his side for keeping their winning streak going as they beat Tarbolton AFC 2-1 at the weekend.
The Dirrans went into the Ayrshire Amateur Football Association Premier League match in good form having beaten Cumnock AFC 4-2 in their last match.
Despite that they could not break down the hosts in the first half as both sides went in 0-0 at the break in Tarbolton.
It took until the second period for the breakthrough and it came for the Dirrans via John Monan.
Once they got their first they quickly added a second, with Logan Stevenson heading in six minutes later to double their lead.
Tarbolton then grabbed a late goal back to set up a tense ending but the Dirrans held on to record another victory.
Speaking to the Times, Stewart said: “We have been doing pretty well the past few weeks and won the past couple of games in the league.
“So, we are in a good place whilst Tarbolton are fighting for their lives.
“We knew it would be a tough place to go and to a man we were brilliant to get the three points.”
