Irvine's Erin Cuthbert helped Chelsea's women's team reach the semi-final of the Champion's League on Thursday night.
Her team took a 1-0 lead from the first leg of their quarter final against a Lyon team, who have dominated women's football in recent years.
A thrilling second leg in London saw Chelsea lose 2-1 - before winning the coveted semi final place 4-3 on penalties.
It will go down as one of the biggest victories in Chelsea's history as they join English rivals Arsenal in the last four.
But the team will need another giant-killing performance as they meet Barcelona to battle for a place in the final.
Midfielder and Scottish international Erin, 24, played most of the Lyon match, before being substituted in extra time.
Last year, the former Greenwood Academy pupil picked up her third championship in a row with the London club, who have become the team to beat in the English women’s game over the last few years.
She also scored an amazing goal in the Women's FA Cup final as Chelsea defeated Manchester City.
