IRVINE'S Erin Cuthbert suffered the agony of a Women's Champions League semi final defeat against Barcelona on Thursday night.
The Scotland and Chelsea midfielder, 24, played all 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw in Spain - and picked up a booking.
But the draw wasn't enough for the Blues, who had lost the home leg 1-0.
Barca are a bit of a bogey team for Chelsea - they thrashed the London club in the Champion's League final two years ago.
The latest defeat ends Chelsea's pursuit of a treble, but they remain firmly in the Women's Super League title race - and will compete with Manchester United for the Women's FA Cup.
Former Greenwood Academy pupil Erin was named Scottish Player of the Year in 2021.
