IRVINE Meadow have confirmed the appointment of Jamie McKim as the club's new first team manager.
The North Ayrshire outfit were on the lookout for a new boss following the departure of Ben Carson just over a week ago.
After an application process, it was the former Johnstone Burgh manager McKim who was selected as the best man for the job.
He quickly got to work following his appointment as he took his first training sessions with Meadow at the Circuit on Saturday, January 11.
That followed the postponement of Irvine's scheduled home fixture against Maybole Juniors.
After entering the hotseat, McKim will be looking to change the fortunes of his new side - who currently sit in the West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) First Division relegation zone.
Meadow are five points adrift of safety having picked up just eight points in their opening 12 matches of the season.
In McKim, they have brought in a manager who is well accustomed to this level having managed Johnstone Burgh for more than six years prior to his dismissal from that role in March last year.
He guided the Keanie Park side from the depths of Junior football to the verge of the WoSFL Premier Division - with the club securing promotion, under the management of Murdo Mackinnon, after his departure.
