IRVINE Thistle have celebrated a memorable Scottish Amateur Cup run after their journey in this season's competition came to an end.
The North Ayrshire outfit were knocked out of the tournament on Saturday as they fell at the hands of one of the level's top clubs - St Patrick's FP.
The Dumbarton side were 2-0 winners on the day, scoring both their goals inside the opening 21 minutes en route to earning a semi-final spot.
Despite a valiant effort, Thistle were unable to overturn the deficit and their longest-ever Scottish Cup run was halted.
However, the run still created some incredible memories with the Ayrshire Division One club winning six matches to earn their place amongst the nation's top teams.
"What a run in the cup this year from the squad," a club spokesperson said on social media. "It's the furthest the club has ever got and some of our best performances in the previous rounds.
"The boys can hold their heads up high after yesterday and take confidence into the rest of our season with some huge games coming up.
"Massive thank you to everyone who made the trip up to Dumbarton yesterday, a full bus and the rest."
Thistle will now return to league action with eight games remaining in their Division One campaign.
The club are one of eight within the 12-team division who have a realistic chance of claiming either a promotion position or the league title.
