IRVINE Meadow boss Jamie McKim says his side have "hit form at the right time" after they earned their fifth consecutive league victory.
The WoSFL First Division table toppers secure another vital three points with a professional 3-0 win at home to bottom club Lanark United on Saturday.
A hat-trick from Mark Curragh was enough to put the North Ayrshire outfit 11 points clear of fellow title hopefuls St Roch's who have two matches in hand on Meadow.
“It was a very tough game," McKim told Medda TV. "I thought it was a professional performance from the boys.
“I don’t think it was the best we’ve played by any stretch of the imagination but when an opponent comes the way Lanark did, when we end up with a 3-0 victory I don’t have many complaints.”
McKim says his squad are well prepared for the hectic run in which awaits with a run of midweek fixtures ahead.
Meadow have seven fixtures left to play before the season comes to an end on Saturday, May 16.
The manager added: “For us, it’s not too bad. We have three midweek games left which we will be able to handle.
“We knew this would come and the squad is prepared for that. It’s got to become part of your planning.
“It’s something that we’ll navigate and hopefully, through that period, we’ll make sure we’re successful.
“The strength of the squad is one of the key assets here, I’m going to need every single one of them at some point.
“We have a lot to play for and they all want to be part of it. There is good togetherness at the moment, everybody is pulling the one direction, long may it continue.”
McKim's men will face their first midweek challenge on Wednesday, April 22, as they travel to take on Cumbernauld United in what the manager expects to be another tough test.
He continued: “We’ve already played them twice this season, they are a well-managed side. It’s going to be tough.
“We’re looking forward to it, we’re in a good place. We’re winning games and hitting form at the right time in the season.”
