KILWINNING Rangers boss Chris Strain admits it was "good to get over the line" as his side secured promotion.
The Buffs sealed their place in the new Lowland League West next season with a 4-3 win over Johnstone Burgh at Keanie Park at the weekend.
It was a game of two halves as Kilwinning raced into a 4-1 lead after half time before The Burgh scored two to make it a nervy ending.
Goals from Ryan Wilson and Lawrence Hendry and a double from Robbie Scullion sent the Buffs on their way.
Strain said: "It was good to get the win and it keeps the momentum going that we have been building.
"Unfortunately the end of the season is coming at the wrong time for us with the form that we are in.
"It was good to get the win and get over the line. The objective at the start was to get promoted and we have done that.
"We had a number of injuries on the day and it unsettled us a bit but we did well and held on for the three points."
Strain's side are now looking to end the season on a high as they take on Largs Thistle on Saturday, May 16.
Strain added: "We have still got the opportunity to finish fourth but we know it's going to be a tough game.
"This is the last opportunity for Largs players to impress for a cup final place, so we expect a tough afternoon.
"You always want to finish as well as you can and end the season on a high note with all three points.
"It's been a bit topsy-turvy this season but our objectives have been reached with a game to spare."
