Winners crowned after exciting finish to North Ayrshire Domino League

THE North Ayrshire Domino League came to an exciting conclusion with the competition for the John Munn Trophy recently.

Team A, comprising Vic Kilwinning, AUC, Jacks and Jacks B, were captained by Derek Hunt, assisted by Roy Brown.

They defeated Team B, comprising Pop, Keys, Elms, Vic Saltcoats and Bobbys, captained by Billy Mitchell and assisted by Michael McIntee, to lift the Three Towns Trophy in memory of John Munn.

At the following awards presentation, Matthew Walker, from The Elms, won captain of the season.

He is the youngest captain in the league and led the Elms to four trophies, plus a personal win in the League Doubles.

The honour roll after the 2025/26 season is as follows:

  • League Champions – Bobbys
  • League Cup Winners – Elms
  • Knockout Trophy Winners – Keys
  • Publicans Cup Winners – Pop
  • Committee Trophy Winners – Elms
  • Champions Trophy Winners – Elms
  • Montgomerie Bowl Winners – Elms
  • Top Spot Champion – R McMillan, Elms
  • Singles Champion – M Thomson, Jacks B
  • Doubles Champions – M Walker & R McMillan, Elms
  • Captain of the Season – M Walker, Elms.
