TWO players from amateur team Dirrans Athletic have earned a call-up to represent the club in forthcoming matches.
Former Kilwinning Rangers ace Calvin Kemp has been invited for a trial with the Amateur Scotland team at Colville Park, Mother this coming Sunday.
John Pirie has also been selected by the Ayrshire AFA Select for the annual Eric White Trophy match against Hurlford Thistle, which was scheduled for last night (Tuesday) but was postponed owing to adverse weather conditions. It now be played on a date to be determined.
Dirrans AFC secretary David Faddes said: "All the best to both players representing our club - it's the first time in a while and just goes to show how we have progressed over the past few seasons. Hopefully fans will give support to both players at the games."
Dirrans are back in action after a free week on Saturday.
They make the short trip to Prestwick to face Glenburn Miners Welfare in a Budget Blinds Premier League match.
