Marco Rose saluted hat-trick hero Ryan Christie after Bournemouth beat Sky Bet Championship Lincoln 4-0 to hand the German his first win as Cherries boss.
It was only Christie’s second career treble and his first since a 7-0 Celtic win over St Johnstone in 2019.
Christie opened the scoring after only seven minutes with a neat near-post finish from Scotland team-mate Ben Gannon-Doak’s pin-point cross.
The midfielder doubled his atally in the 69th minute by heading in a David Brooks corner from a tight angle.
He completed his hat-trick two minutes from time with a deflected shot from a half-cleared corner.
There was still time for substitute Rayan to get in on the act in stoppage time, with a cool finish from the corner of the six-yard box.
A delighted Rose said: “It was a deserved win and a really good performance from the lads.
“It was a top performance for 94 minutes and we had many shots on and off target.
“I think we only gave one chance away, so I am really happy.
“Ryan is a nice guy. We really love him and he deserved it. He came back from an injury, worked hard and now he’s back in shape.
“It’s good for us because the upcoming time is really busy and we need everyone.
“In the next few weeks we have European football, cups in England and the Premier League is getting very demanding.
“I’m new in this club, new in this country, but it’s about winning games and winning titles.”
Joint Lincoln head coach Chris Cohen admitted his side were outclassed.
Cohen said: “Certain players had moments in the game, but overall Bournemouth were by far the better team.
“We were looking for a low-scoring match and wanted to get to 60 minutes still in the game.
“The frustration is we did not implement our in-possession stuff at all and could not impose ourselves with our set-pieces as well as we normally do.
“We had a lot of new players and will learn a lot as a team from the game.
“Bournemouth is a club we aspire to be one day, having worked their way up through the leagues to the best league in the world, but we are a long way from that.
“The league is our bread and butter and we have a big game coming at the weekend, but we know we can play much better than that.”
